“Infinite Loop” takes star-crossed lady lovers on a trip through space and time

In the futuristic world of the new comic book Infinite Loop, time traveling is as normal as apple pie. However, in order to make sure that the present isn’t constantly altered by people and anomalies changing the past, Paradox Hunters are employed to track these people down and, well, eliminate them. One such Paradox Hunter, Teddy, finds herself falling helplessly in love with her mark, Ano, who was born during a paradox accident.

Funded in part by a highly successful Kickstarter, co-creators Elsa Charretier and Pierrick Colinet wanted to create a comic book that explored LGBT love stories and journeys.

While Charretier and Colinet are French, Colinet tells comic book site Bleeding Cool, that he was strongly influenced by American television and pop culture, giving the book a kind of retro-futuristic vibe. Teddy’s design looks to be an homage to the style of the late 1950s, while Ano takes on a more flowy, ethereal look.

At the end of each issue, Infinite Loop will include a column that will include contributions from readers. They are looking for stories about first love, and also when readers first realized they were gay, lesbian, bi, queer or trans. If you would like to submit your stories for consideration, you can send them to [email protected].

The first of Infinite Loop‘s six issues debuts in April, but you can pre-order your copy now from your favorite comic book store. The item code is FEB150349, and will be released by IDW Publishing.
