Today we told you about Logo’s Trailblazers special on June 26 which will honor some of the pioneers — like Edie Windsor — who’ve made a major impact on the struggle for national LGBT equality. But the event is also about honoring those trailblazers closer to home. Logo is inviting our readers to submit videos and photos about friends, family and local leaders who they consider Hometown Trailblazers.
It could be a neighbor working to get workplace protections for LGBT people in your community, a student starting a Gay-Straight Alliance at their school, or even a clergy member who spoke in favor of marriage equality from the pulpit.
Five nominees will have their stories featured on the Trailblazers website—and one lucky Hometown Trailblazer will win a trip along with their nominator to the Trailblazers ceremony in New York.
We’d love to see AfterEllen.com readers participate!
You can submit stories, photos and videos about your Hometown Trailblazer here.
