Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your television….we’re back, and so is The L Word!
Yes, thanks to Logo (AfterEllen.com’s parent company), we can enjoy Season 1 of the groundbreaking lesbian drama in all of it’s tear-stained, lusty, and lovelorn glory. In fact, the pilot episode of the series is so packed-to-the-gills with melodrama that they had to split it into two episodes for syndication. We followed suit with our vlog and did the same, so look for the second-half of our pilot recap next week.
This week Jill, Dara, and I reminisce about where we were when we first watched the show and our introduction to the lovely L ladies. We also reenact Tina and Bette’s infamous trip to Dan Foxworthy’s office to just “check in” for therapy. Only in our world, Dan’s brother Jeff was filling in that day. So rejoin the fray with us for a trip in the Wayback machine to five years ago, when The L Word premiered and the only power Jenny Schecter could wield was her ability to try our patience with her cluelessness about lesbians and her self-indulgent autobiographical fiction. Note: We won’t be uploading the videos to Veoh anymore, as we’ve been experiencing too many difficulties with that site.
