What better way to wrap up a stellar first season of a new sitcom than incorporate a baby birth with a double case of lesbian mistaken identity? That’s what you’ll get in tonight’s double episode finale of the USA freshman comedy, Playing House.
We’ve spent this first season with single and pregnant Maggie (Lennon Parham) and her best friend Emma (Jessica St. Clair) and tonight, while at the hospital to give birth, a lesbian doctor (played by Garcelle Beauvais) mistakes the straight BFFs for a lesbian couple. To keep up the ruse (since the doctor invites them to visit her lovely summer home), the twosome enlists their friends and even Maggie’s ex (the baby’s father) to keep the mistaken identities mistaken.
