Watch! Lynn Shelton and Rosemarie DeWitt talk “Touchy Feely”

Abby (Rosemarie DeWitt) is a free spirited masseuse whose fingers work magic on her clients while her brother, Paul (Josh Pais) is a very structured and emotionally closed off dentist with a daughter (Ellen Page) whose lackluster life is limited to working in her father’s office.

What happens with Abby suddenly has an unexplained aversion to touch while Paul begins to develop a “healing touch” that makes him popular among those seeking release from their pain?

That’s the conceit of the latest film from bi director Lynn Shelton, Touchy Feely, which opens tomorrow in select theaters. The film also stars Allison Janney and Ron Livingston.

As you probably know, last year DeWitt played gay in Shelton’s Your Sister’s Sister and when she sat down with AfterEllen to talk about her latest collaboration with Shelton, she not only talked about the differences in that role and Touchy Feely‘s Abby, she also talked about her love for co-star Ellen Page and how she’d love to have her direct her in a film. In this interview with AfterEllen, Shelton talks about sexual identity not being as prevalent in her new film as in her past work and — in keeping up with the Ellen Page lovefest — working with the actress as well as Rosemarie in the film.
