This week we revisit our fantasy formula from last week (“If We Ran the Networks”) and tell you what the film world would look like if we ran the movie studios.
Some of the changes we’d make include requiring more female leads in movies for kids, (little baby Tomb Raiders!), a moratorium on “bromances,” lots of big-budget roles for women over the age of 40 (who, incidentally would be allowed to occasionally make a crappy movie and still keep working–just like the boys do), and bringing the scandalous Hollywood lesbian book The Girls (by Diana McLellan) to the big screen.
Dara also gives us her brilliant new set of rules for all lesbian films. Will someone please get this woman a corner office and a hot assistant?
