Several AfterEllen.com readers alerted us to a new web series filmed in Canada called Seeking Simone, starring actress and co-creator Renée Olbert. The series follows Olbert’s Simone, a lesbian actress (the star of the fake television series CSIS:ForensicSWAT) as she attempts to find love in her new home, Toronto.
With the tagline “Online dating has never been so gay,” I was intrigued, and had to watch the first two episodes. Without spoiling too much for you, it includes an awkward first date, a lot of ex-girlfriend talk and the decisions you have to make about what to put on a public social networking profile.
Basically, it’s your life, the web series.
