Malinda Lo is the managing editor at AfterEllen.com, to which she has been contributing since 2003, when she wrote the site's first article on Ellen DeGeneres. Read her blog at www.malindalo.com or contact her at malindalo at afterellen.com.
She earned her B.A. in Economics and Chinese Studies at Wellesley College, her M.A. in Regional Studies-East Asia at Harvard University, and her M.A. in Cultural and Social Anthropology at Stanford University. In 2006 she was awarded the Sarah Pettit Memorial Award for Excellence in LGBT Journalism by the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association for her work at AfterEllen.com.
Her first novel, Ash, a retelling of "Cinderella," will be published by Little, Brown in Fall 2009.
