Obviously I can't spell worth beans.
I've been with my Partner for 25 years and I feel like that is my most important accomplishment. Being a good partner is the most rewarding and difficult thing I've done in my life and most other things pale in face of that. I can do anything, live anywhere with my partner and have fun.
My hobbies are cutting and polishing rocks, and oddly felting....hey its really physical and I like physical stuff and I get to work with color. When I was a kid I refused to learn to sew or type because that was what girls did...I was never going to be a secratary and now typing is like breathing and sewing is fun.
I work with Doctors and Scientists and I didn't go to college so it makes me kind of a strange duck in the work place. I wouldn't bring it up but loving to learn things and not going to college is a part of who I am. I just couldn't sit still when I was 18. Kids now, they go to college forever just to get a decent job. I was lucky to get a decent job without it and sometimes it scares me.
We have a 16 year old Jack Russell and yeah they do slow down.
I think its funny that I enjoy AfteEllen because I'm not much interested in the Media or Celebraties or Skinny Glamourous Women. I do enjoy listening to all sorts of Lesbians and I get a kick out of young women who don't know anything that happened before the 80's, they bring a pisazze (sp?) to my concepts both on AfterEllen and at work. And I do know how important Media in all its forms is to Lesbians and also to young women who are trying to figure out if they are gay. I didn't have that when I was young and I'm proud people have been able to change that, I never want to go back, and there is still plenty of forward to go. It'll be young people who do that, so its important to respect them and not just say old fogey things about them.
