- I spent my formative years overseas. However, I am, by birth, a US southerner. After having moved up as far up as Boston back in the 90s, I have slowly been making my way back down South. Damn it's hot here. Why did I like it here? The mountains are beautiful? Okay that is not it. Actually, my partner got a cool job down here, so now I work from home, and make monthly road trips to my old job.
In the meantime, when not working, I watch entirely too much TV, take care of the pets and...apparently surf the internet. Due to my overseas upbringing, I was deprived of most American TV as a child. This may not be a bad thing...the verdict is still out on that one. At any rate, I now make no apology for my vast catalogue of TV shows I now watch. I'm trying to catch up on all the late 70s and early 80s TV I missed!
Since we've moved back down here, sadly, my intermittent trips to the gym count as social interaction... and getting towels from the check-in people does expand my daytime vocabulary usage beyond my most used sentences: 'Drop it!', 'Who wants to go outside?', No cats!' and 'Good girl sit!', and the ever popular 'Don't eat that!.

Besides SEC football, I (we) watch a lot English Premier League soccer, and pull for Liverpool. Go Reds! My partner is an Arsenal fan of all things. She is also a scientist, and I...am not. She' a cat person, I'm the dog person...you get the picture. It's been working for seven years now, so I guess we've worked out the kinks. She now knows more about medieval history than she ever thought she would, and I can expound convincingly on Polymerase Chain Reaction. We're lots of fun at parties you can imagine...
