I'm really not good with open ended "tell us something about yourself" questions, but I'll try: I love the outdoors, and spend as much time as I can there, hiking, camping, cannoeing, cross country skiing, whatever. I'm a voracious reader  (mostly non fiction) and usually have about three books on the go at a time, because I can't bring myself to finish one before starting another. I love to travel, but don't have the opportunity to do this as much as I would like.

I'm a quick learner and like to try new things, but I tend to be desultory in my pursuit of new undertakings.

I majored in history in university, which means at parties dental hygenists and personal fitness trainers laugh at my utter lack of career sense. I can't help it, history will always be my first love.

Oh, and I'm a big fan of board games, CRPGs/MMORPGs, and pen and paper RPGs, especially GURPS and D&D. Yes, I like Dungeons&Dragons. Go ahead and mock me, I'm used to it  :p

Also, I'm a Buddhist  (more specifically I follow the Mahayana tradition, if that means anything to you).
