- Bio
I'm the person responsible for Ghostella's Haunted Tomb here on After Ellen. When I'm not losing sleep over that, I'm usually writing about horror movies for my beloved blog Final Girl or for AMC.
I like to make stuff. I love travel and road trips...I have a crush on the desert. I love listening to records and I still think making mix tapes is cool. I'll watch any horror movie, good or bad. I love pizza, videogames, cat chins, coffee, beer, Dallas, Melrose Place, comic books, dead buildings, the smell of wet leaves, this folder I have that has a cobra on the front, and swearing. This one time, when I was a wee bonny lass, my dad brought home a huge roll of paper and I used some of it to draw a life-size picture of Donna Summer. I was really sad when Madeline Kahn died. Reading, water, and taking pictures are good for the soul. I think I might be a nerd. Elephants, ostriches, and the Grand Canyon are impossible but I've seen them all.

- Favorite Books
- 1984, Franny and Zooey, The Executioner's Song, Cat's Eye, East of Eden, The Little Prince, Let Us Now Praise Famous Men, anything by Shirley Jackson...I heart comic books and Charles Dickens alike.
- Favorite Musicians / Bands
- Sleater-Kinney, Anna Oxygen, LadyTron, The Gossip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Black Box Recorder, Cowboy Junkies, I love classic rock in a completely unironic way- in fact, I like pretty much everything except contemporary country.
- Favorite TV Shows
- I don't watch much but I dig Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars, '80s nighttime soaps, Futurama, The Venture Brothers, Law & Order...and I get sucked into What Not to Wear, Top Chef, and America's Next Top Model far easier than I'd like to admit. For some reason I like shows in which the geriatric set solves crimes, and I believe that Melrose Place and Dallas have made this world a better place.
- Favorite Movies
- disaster movies with all-star casts, The Descent, Fargo, Annie Hall, Airplane!, Harold and Maude, Waiting for Guffman, The Jerk, Black Christmas (1974), The Haunting (1963), Faster Pussycat...Kill! Kill! (best movie ever), Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), any Lifetime movie starring Tori Spelling, and I have an inappropriate amount of love for Jumpin' Jack Flash, which even I find disturbing. It's also one of my Big Life Goals to introduce every person I meet to Shark Attack 3: Megalodon.
