I dub myself "Queen of Lesbian Cinema". I'm a pop culture whiz, and a movie addictee. I like them all: mostly classics, independent, foreign, and silent films. I love my family, friends, and cat. I like sleeping in and staying up late. I enjoy it when it rains (I grew up in Florida), and I currently reside in West Hollywood where it storms maybe a week total out of the year. Otherwise, I love it here, and I'm proud to be part of such an open-minded and accepting community. I am bisexual, and I highly resent the myths and stereotypes about bi people, and the rampant biphobia in the straight and gay communities. I am monogomous, straightedge, and happy to be me. I love Queer As Folk and think Brian Kinney has to be one of the best-written most dimensional characters ever on television, and I like watching L Word though it's more of a guilty pleasure as I consider it pretty weak when held up against something like QAF. The story lines often don't make sense, the characters ENTIRE PERSONALITY can be completely rewritten and aren't consistent, the editing can be horrible, and bisexuality has been offensively and grossly misrepresented and portrayed on the show. But, Jennifer Beals is hot, and of course we all love Shane, so I put up with it anyway. I think an awesome show like Sugar Rush is so much better, leave it to England to come out with a show like that while we're stuck with South of Nowhere (which I like, but Spashley seriously never get their due). Tipping The Velvet, Aimee and Jaguar, Monster, Boys Don't Cry, High Art, Bound, Gia, Fire, The Gymnast, Loving Annabelle, Show Me Love, Desert Hearts, Personal Best, and Lost & Delirious rule. I'm a photographer and I love creation, everything from playing instruments to writing and performance. How's that for random?
