- Worked for various sports under the US Olympic Committee for years as the press person for the US Team and other sports. Have covered over 50 sports, including every summer and winter Olympic sport, and Pan American sport. Which means I've written stories on sports you didn't even know existed. Basically, I am always looking for excuses and new ways to write about Martina's biceps. When not thinking or writing about Martina's biceps, or talking to others about her biceps, I am an Outward Bound instructor, leading backpacking and other kinds of trips all over the U.S.

- Best American Sports Writing, the yearly anthology. To Kill a Mockingbird. I don't care if it's cliche, it's still a great book. Didn't you want to be Scout? People Magazine when no one is looking.

- Jimmy Buffet. I'm hard of hearing, cut me some slack. Country when I'm stuck driving across the country for the 10th time. The Perfect Country Song and Wendy's fries with a chocolate Frostie have gotten me through many road trips.

- Heroes. Where are the lesbian superheroes on this, people? We already have the gene-evolution thing going on with us. Where are my freeken' super powers?
