- Learning to embrace passivity... from a pugnacious brain to a quiescent mind. have to subdue d intensity of my spirit... as if it exists to say, "to fight.. to fight and never yield!" maybe i have to learn how to submit. or be acquiescent sometimes... with how things are, or should be- as people would say. to learn how not to fight... so not to be an easy target. that in not fighting, i am staging my fight. sometimes being true to oneself has a cost. to stifle one's passion or conviction of being. to be reticent. complacent with life. embracing silence. embracing passivity. embracing nothingness. then you turn into a void. unnoticed. yet breathing.

- L word (alice always saves d day), bad girls. house m.d. (oh gregory!), ugly betty, prisonbreak (michael scoffield + sarah tancredi), alias (need i say more?), csi (jorja fox a.k.a sara slide!), etc.

- JEANETTE WINTERSON, Oranges are not the Only Fruit. novels by umberto eco (island of the day before) & ayn rand (fountain head, atlas shrugged), unbearable lightness of being by milan kundera, tuesdays with morrie by mitch albom, enjoyed erica jong in her fear of flying, get feministic with marilyn french, fascinated with 3rd world lit i.e., gabriel garcia marquez; for contemporary, margaret atwood's pieces almost always hit close to home.
- Favorite Musicians / Bands
- music mostly by female artists who cut across genres; music of imogenheap, sarah bettens (formerly ks choice), feist, zero 7, tori amos, some of lilly allens and nerina pallots; also by damien rice, joseph arthur, dave matthews, hootie and d blowfish; keane; and old school rock e.g. david bowie (life on mars + c-ch-changes), rolling stones, the doors, janis joplin and more
- Favorite Movies
- british films or any film with british actors in it- love actually, pride and prejudice (mr. darcy!), 2 weeks notice, serendipity, unconditional love, bridget jones... etc. and on art/ indie films with interesting gay storylines- HIGH ART. LOVING ANNABELLE. butterfly (chinese indie film), amour de femme, saving face, better than chocolate, if these walls could talk 2, etc. for contemporary- the hours, fight club, simon birch, etc. and for classic (when i like to wallow- unbearable lightness of being, mirror has two faces, etc etc.
