Waiting for the new season of United States of Tara got a little easier this week.
The series, which returns March 28, released its first Season 3 trailer Wednesday. Before we get to it, let’s review the end of Season 2 with showrunner Diablo Cody and her tattoos.
TV Line reveals that Season 3 has Tara (Toni Collette) going back to college. Eddie Izzard, who refers to himself as a “lesbian trapped in a man’s body,’ joins the show as a psychology professor who is at first skeptical about DID, but starts studying the condition thanks to his experience with Tara. The fabulous Frances Conroy guest stars as Max’s mother.
Here’s the trailer.
Looks like all of the alters are back, including T, who was missing-in-action for most of last season. We’re also going to meet a new alter, but we don’t know any details at this point. (I don’t think “college Tara” refers to a new alter, but I may be wrong.)
Since Toni Collette is pregnant IRL, I wonder if Tara will follow suit. That would certainly cramp Buck’s style, wouldn’t it?
Are you excited for Tara’s return? What would you like to see this season?
