On Sept. 20, How I Met Your Mother will have its sixth season premiere on CBS. The comedy series has been a ratings success, with Neil Patrick Harris‘ consistently superb performance as womanizer Barney making the show an award winner as well (Emmys, People’s Choice Awards, etc.) There hasn’t been too much lesbian-content on the show, besides Buffy fans watching the show for Alyson Hannigan or jokes made about Robin (Colbie Smulders) having a “lesbian side.”

On the new episode, Rachel Bilson (The O.C., Jumper) plays Cindy, a girl that once went on a bad date with Ted (Josh Radnor) and runs into him at a bar. From what Ted recalls, the date went so poorly, Cindy kicked him out of her apartment and later mocked him in the hallway at school.
But this time, Cindy is nice to Ted, telling him she’s sorry for how she felt for their initial interaction. Clad in a leather jacket, she says she had a lot of life revelations after their date.
I won’t ruin the whole episode for you, but I will tell you that you will see Bilson kiss a woman. It’s nothing new plot-wise, in fact you’ll probably only want to watch if you’re a fan of the show or Bilson, but the bonus is it also stars Alyson Hannigan. (Fun fact: Bilson also appeared on Buffy as Colleen on the episode “Dirty Girls.”)
