Jenna Fischer, who plays the lovely and beleaguered Pam on The Office, will star in Columbia Pictures’ comedy Walk Hard. Not the best title (pretty porny, really), but the premise sounds OK: She’ll be a “June Carter Cash-like love interest” to John C. Reilly’s fictional singer. Doesn’t really sound like a comedy until you hear that it’s written by Judd Apatow (The 40 Year-Old Virgin).
On Sunday, Fischer and the rest of the cast of The Office won the SAG Award for Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Fischer’s pretty funny in print, too. A few months ago she wrote a piece for Esquire called “10 Things You Don’t Know About Women.” I enjoy no. 9, which addresses the “celebrity safe list.” Doesn’t mean I’m not going to maintain my celebrity safe list though. Leisha and Latifah keep battling it out for the top spot.
