Kyra Sedgwick, the star of the top notch TNT cop drama The Closer bagged a Best TV actress Golden Globe (for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series) last week, and now she’s renewed her contract with the network in a deal reportedly worth $16 million. Sedgwick has signed on for a total of seven seasons of The Closer, and she will earn $250,00-$300,000 per episode. The new deal also includes making Sedgwick a producer on the show.
Sedgwick is now the highest paid woman on television. And while that probably still means she makes .75 on the dollar every big male TV star makes, I’m sure her actor husband will be thrilled with her ability to seriously bring home the Bacon.
