In just 15 seconds, and without saying a word, Lauren Graham reminds us why the world is an infinitely better place when she is on our televisions. NBC as released its first Parenthood promo featuring the former Gilmore girl.
Lauren has stepped in for the ailing Maura Tierney in the central role of Sarah, a single mom raising two teens who moves back with her parents in Berkeley. And with one perfectly-timed look she has made me laugh louder than anything Jeff Dunham has ever done with a puppet. See for yourself.
The new comedy series, loosely based on the 1989 film follows the trials and tribulations of an extended family living in Northern California. The large ensemble also stars Six Feet Under alum Peter Krause, Coach star Craig T. Nelson, Punk’d veteran Dax Shepard, Bonnie Bedelia, Monica Potter, Erika Christensen and Sarah Ramos.
The series doesn’t start until March, but NBC already has a basic website up for the show featuring Lauren. With the recent success of ABC’s Modern Family, it will be interesting to see whether audiences will warm up to two new extended family comedies.
