The Daily News reports that a New York city councilman is calling Rosie O’Donnell out for her “Chinese speak” on The View last week. And by “Chinese speak,” I mean the ridiculous repetition of the phrase “ching chong” to represent a Chinese news broadcast.
I didn’t like it either — nor have I enjoyed other instances of her “Chinese speak” or her “Muslim speak” or other foolish things she’s done. But I’m not sure how you hold people accountable for things like this, at least not as long as we still have the First Amendment. I guess we can vote with our remotes on this one.
