According to Access Hollywood, during a break on The View today, Rosie O’Donnell announced that she has been offered the female lead role on Nip/Tuck now that Joely Richardson has left the show. O’Donnell guest-starred on the FX show earlier this year as lottery winner Dawn Budge, a woman who got it on with Dr. Christian Troy. The role would require O’Donnell to undertake a 15-week shoot in Los Angeles, which would wreak havoc with her current gig as a co-host on The View. However, since O’Donnell has only signed on to co-host one season of the talk show so far, she is technically available to do Nip/Tuck.
Should trade Barbara Walters for Dr. Troy? I’m not convinced…
