Encouraging news for lesbians across the pond: Sugar Rush, the popular British show about lesbian/bi teens, just won an International Emmy in the children and young people category. This award comes at a good time – the series recently finished its second season in the UK, and fans are still waiting to find out if it will get picked up for a third. Here in the U.S., South of Nowhere, the popular (if less racy) American show about lesbian/bi teens, is expected to win an Emmy when hell freezes over. Or Paula marches in a Pride Parade. Whichever comes first.
