12 Epically Hilarious Ellen DeGeneres Moments

on

All mighty, Ellen DeGeneres. Our comedy lesbian goddess of all things entertainment. We praise you during this epic celebration of your coming out anniversary! On this monumental day 20 years ago Ellen told the world “Yep, I’m gay” and sent giant lesbian ripples across the globe. Unless your gaydar goggles were fogged up, it was pretty obvious she was gay before then…but regardless it was a huge deal. She’s a bad ass for it and incredibly wealthy might I add. Ellen could make it rain on all of us lesbians for years, decades maybe. In honor of this hilarious, iconic woman, I give you the 12 best moments from The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

  1. Ellen and Obama Bust a Move

I mark this as number one because it belongs at the top. Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to get the former President of the United States to dance. This will go down in history as one of the best television segments ever. I miss you Obama.

  1. “Dennis Quaid is Here!”

Who could forget the moment Ellen made Dennis Quaid shout, “Dennis Quaid is here” in a Starbucks. The baristas giggling behind the counter added an extra laugh too. They’re probably used to Los Angeles celebrity egos. Not quite this bad though.

  1. Scaring Taylor Swift Over and Over and Over Again

Taylor Swift is easily one of the greatest people to tease and Ellen proves that every time. It all started in 2010 with the bathroom incident and it was even better than ever imagined.

  1. Gladys From Austin, Texas

Nobody knew what they were missing before Gladys came into the picture. The unexpected, comedy gold all from an old woman living in Texas is what makes Ellen’s show better than the rest. I still often say, “I love Jesus but I drink a little.”

  1. She Got a Dude to Come To The Oscars…with Pizza

Remember when every A-list celebrity took a selfie at the Oscars after pizza? Yeah, Ellen was the one who brought that magic together. She invited the pizza delivery guy on her show and properly tipped him too.

  1. When she Made Two Adorable British Girls Famous

Remember British cutie pies Sophie Grace and Rosie? They were literally made for television and Ellen put them there.
