We flashback to that time, when Jessica kicks her injured son out of the house, but this time we see Mary creeping from behind the blinds. After Jason leaves, Mary demands to know what happened to her son. Jessica assures her she gave Charles the best life possible, but refuses to elaborate (probably because no one would consider locking up a trans child in an asylum as the “best possible life”). Jessica locks herself in the storm cellar until Mary leaves. FreeForm reminds us to #EvilTwin and it’s like, duh Freeform we know.
Spencer checks on Yvonne and tells Toby that he needs to GTFO of Rosewood and run away with Yvonne for their own safety. She assures him he can build her a house anywhere, and that no one is safe in Rosewood. Later that night, Toby stops by her barn to tell her that he was originally building the house for her. He and Yvonne have decided to move to a small town in Maine, and they say goodbye. As Toby leaves, Spencer bursts into tears. Is Toby really gone? Is it possible for anyone to really leave Rosewood or is the town one big Wayward Pines sitch? Either way, Spencer is breaking my heart.
Back at Radley, Aria wants to drag Emily away from her mom’s birthday to go rooting around in that storm cellar and reveals that she and Ezra are flying out to elope. Emily encourages he to go off and eat, drink, be married, and then joins the gay bachelorette party with her mom.
