Morning Brew – Cara Delevingne thinks it’s great if people want to say she’s gay

Good morning!

Cara Delevingne opens up about her relationship with St. Vincent in the new British Vogue:

“I’m completely in love. Before, I didn’t know what love was — real love. I didn’t understand the depth of it. I always used to think it was you against the world. Now I know the meaning of life is love. Whether that’s for yourself or for the world or your partner.”

And on her sexual identity:

“As a child, I used gay as a bad word, as in, ‘that’s so gay.’ All my friends did. I’m obviously in love, so if people want to say I’m gay, that’s great. But we’re all liquid — we change, we grow.”

St. Vincent (aka Annie) also supported Cara at the Suicide Squad premiere in New York last night.

LPAC (aka the Lesbian Political Action Group) is featured in this Washington Post story about women donors.

Aussie TV host Sonia Kruger says that scholarships for LGBTQI Australians is “reverse discrimination.” I can’t even.

She better prepare for 2050, when this woman predicts Australia will be “run by an Asian lesbian cyborg named Poona Li Hung.”

One of the tragic deaths in a recent Austin shooting was Teqnika Moultrie, who was there visiting her fiancee, Sabrina.

A lesbian couple was asked to stop holding hands in a Hot Springs, Arkansas store called Spa City Treasures. Jessica and Ashley tell their local news:

“We weren’t doing anything but trying to spend money and time together. We weren’t being derogatory. We weren’t being all handsy. Simply holding hands.”

In the video, the owner of the store says he wants it to be a “family store” and proceeds to say, “I wouldn’t take my kids to a strip club or something.” SAME SAME RIGHT?

Sensational headline but cool story: My girlfriend is now my husband!

The Handmaiden has an official U.S. trailer for its October release and damn, it looks good.

Season 2 of Always Human, a lesbian sci-fi webcomic, is launching this Saturday, so you still have time to catch up on Season 1.

Starz is adapting The Dirty Girls Social Club into a TV series, and hopefully they are planning on keeping the lesbian bits.

Yahoo writes about how slut-shaming Melania Trump isn’t cool, and I contributed some quotes on faux lesbianism. Still a thing, I guess.

Yaysh has a new video for her song “Wild One” and it’s fun.
