On this week’s episode of The Jim Gaffigan Show, Tig Notaro guest stars as a construction worker, Gomez, who catcalls Jim’s wife, Jeannie (Ashley Williams). The actress seemed to really enjoy this, as did I:
In the top of the episode, Jeannie complains about being harassed by a “man in an orange hoodie.” Hilarity ensues when Jeannie decides to confront her catcaller, not knowing it was a woman.
When Gomez’s boss threatens to fire her (they have a “zero-tolerance policy” against catcalling), Jeannie changes her mind but it’s too late—the guys on the site are upset that there’s a double standard.
The bit is only a tiny part of the episode (“Ugly”), but Tig is perfect in the part, and it’s worth a watch for her wink alone.
Judy Gold and Raven-Symoné both appeared on a recent episode of the show as well, “The Trial,” and last season, Rachel Maddow played herself opposite show star Adam Goldberg. Jim Gaffigan might just be an unofficial lesbro.
The Jim Gaffigan Show airs on Sundays on TVLand.
