Haley Ramm (Chasing Life) and Keke Palmer (Scream Queens) are playing girlfriends in a film called Pimp, and Keke is the pimp in question. According to Deadline, the couple “dream of a better life and hope to get out of the one they’re in.” Also cast, strangely, is DMX, who has not been a friend to the LGBT community. Written and directed by Christine Crokos, the film is currently being shot in the Bronx.

It’s interesting, because I thought, ‘Oh, I’m okay, I’m not carrying anything anymore, I’ve dealt with this!’ And then I had to read [that speech] so many times so I was able to get through it. There is something shocking about it that in a way it was a good experience to have, because we can sometimes forgot where we are storing a lot of that emotion.”
