Sarah shows up at Felix’s loft and demands Ira help her get to the island to stop Rachel from cutting Susan out of everything, though it’s hard to me to take her seriously when she’s still in Krystal’s ridiculous coat.
But he makes the call, so off she goes. She stops in to say goodbye to Mrs. S and Kira, saying that if she doesn’t put an end to all this, she’ll have to watch all of her sestras die one by one, starting with Cosima. And she simply will not stand for that.
Unable to find her way out of the room she’s locked in, Cosima starts looking around, and sees that one of Charlotte’s paintings of the island has a dock with boats and a small hut village on it.
Rachel shows up to the house, grumpy that no one helped her get from the helicopter to the house, when she sees the guy from her visions. He leaves, and Susan calls the man a Messenger. Susan warns Rachel against trusting the board to not treat HER like a science experiment, to not betray her sisters, her own biology.
Downstairs, Charlotte sets Cosima free and says that Susan gave them their things and told them to go to the boats. Cosima has to grab something first so she tells Charlotte to hang tight.
Susan tells Rachel that raising her in Neolution wasn’t her idea, and seeing how she turned out, regrets leaving her when she was little. They fight, and Cosima and Charlotte and their adorable matching hats peep around the corner to see what they can see.
Susan says that Cosima is smart and Sarah is fierce but Rachel? She regrets what Rachel has become. Rachel sees another flash of a beheaded swan and knows what she must do. She grabs a knife and stabs her mother right in the gut.
Cosima shields Charlotte’s eyes and they run off to find safety. But while they’re running, Cosima has another bloody coughing fit, and even though Charlotte keeps dragging her along in the dark, snowy woods, it soon becomes clear that they’re very lost. Cosima says they should take a break, so they huddle together against a tree and Cosima tells Charlotte not to fall asleep.
Sarah arrives in the chopper and when she gets to the house, is greeted by nothing but silence and a trail of blood. She follows the trail and finds Susan bleeding, saying Cosima and Rachel have run off to safety, but Rachel took the cure before she could treat them. Susan says her daughter has gone mad, and as if to prove the point, Rachel flies in and starts beating on Sarah with her cane.
Then all hell breaks loose, Rachel stabs Sarah in the leg, Susan scrambles for the gun and threatens Rachel, Rachel takes the gun and shoots at Sarah. But Sarah gets out, basically hopping on one foot what with the KNIFE WOUND in her leg, but still faster than Rachel can hobble.
