“Orphan Black” recap (4.10): She Keeps Me Warm

In her hotel room, Rachel opens the door to find Ferdinand and a frittata and an offer to…service her. Rachel tells him she doesn’t feel much anymore since her accident, but Ferdinand is annoying enough that her inner dominatrix comes out again and she remembers how much she enjoys beating the crap out of him.

Meanwhile, Krystal struts into the Rabbit Hole in all her glory.

I want a web series in which Krystal meets/interviews all the clones.

Krystal’s Pink Panther music plays again as she waves to a very amused Scott (and the other dude) and pretends to browse the shelves while having a low-key chat with Felix, who seems to enjoy his role as Scotland Yard detective. When Krystal remains stubborn about not giving up any information until she gets some answers, Felix decides to take her downstairs. Krystal flirts with Art until Sarah steps forward and tries to float the clone thing softer that Alison did her.

But Krystal just looks at her and is like, “Who are you?” No recognition registering on her face. Her self-esteem so high she can’t see her own face in the face of this punk rock ho. She pulls Felix aside and says that this joke isn’t funny; her boobs are bigger and she’s definitely hotter so stop trying to mess with her head.

“I wouldn’t be caught dead in that emo eyeliner.”

Krystal makes herself at home and gives the boys the low-down: Two factions are fighting over their human experiments. Eerily accurate. Those factions are Estee Lauder and a Swedish cosmetic company called Neolution. Pretty off the mark. So she gives her spiel about Van Lier showing up and saving the hot French doctor, side-eyeing Sarah all the while. (I didn’t think anyone could be funnier than Alison Hendrix but Krystal wins the comic relief award this season.)

Back in the hotel, Rachel has tied Ferdinand up and is doing her best scheming, saying she’s not a Freaky Leekie but she’s willing to use Neolution to get what she wants: to control evolution. To play god.

And look like a goddess.

Ira comes in and is a little shocked but Rachel isn’t the least bit embarrassed. He tells her Susan is about to call, so she ends her game with Ferdinand.
