“Orphan Black” recap (4.09): Lost and Found

Back at Felix’s lot, Adele and her martini are losing their damn minds.

And she hasn’t even heard about the lesbian sister yet!

Felix tries to play it off like this is a totally normal situation, that Sarah-faced people keep coming out of the woodwork, but Adele knows a bad trip, and this is worse. She mentions that Donnie just got out of jail, and Helena asks if he was in jail because of Pouchy, and Adele throws her hands up because everyone knows more about everything than her. Helena is quite tired of her shouting, and when Adele calls her “Li’l Triplet” she hisses and snaps at her like a wild animal.  Felix decides he’s not in the mood to get blood on his floor today so after being promised that her brother-sestra is safe, Helena leaves the biosibs alone.

Felix, sadness cloaking every word, tells Adele that she has to leave. She’s not part of this whole mess, and she shouldn’t have to be. Adele says what we’ve all been thinking; genetics alone do not a family make. They say their goodbyes, probably not forever, because his sister will be okay without him for a bit, but his sestras need him.

After searching a lot to no avail, Sarah and Art finally find a very scared Kendra in an abandoned house and manage to calm her down enough for her to tell them what she knows and show them the video of the faceless baby. It turns out the faceless baby didn’t just die because she was, well, faceless, but the Bright Born doctors killed her.

Kendra’s baby was born blind, so she knows that he’s doomed if Bright Born finds him. Sarah asks her if she’ll come forward with this information if she’ll help them stop Bright Born.

I would pull my own teeth out for that face.

But Kendra is scared. She has two kids to worry about now.

On the island, Cosima is reading more about Neolution (and looking like she never took that nap she was supposed to take) and she says it’s a pretty interesting read despite the fact that the founder of Neolution is a “racist blowhard who thinks poverty is genetic.” Cosima sasses Susan, calling her not too far off from this jerkoff, and they have a bit of an ethics debate again since Cosima’s heart broke for the little girl with a leg brace and a terminal illness who looks like a living photograph of her own self at eight.

Cheeky.

Susan says that when she made Charlotte, she was under a lot of pressure to recreate Leda (“From who?” is a question Cosima asks that goes unanswered) and that Charlotte is alive and happy, and they’re finding a cure, so it’s fiiiiine. Cosima doesn’t look convinced of all that, but she does tell Susan that the science is progressing.

“Can we just find this cure so I and the clonesbians can all start breathing easier?”

They’ll have a zygote by morning.
