“Orphan Black” recap (4.09): Lost and Found

At Felix’s loft, Sarah is starting to feel the strain of her sestras being so far apart from each other. But Felix promises her they’re doing the right thing and heads off to protect Adele from the newly-released-from-remand Donnie and crisis-of-faith-having Alison.

On the Island of Dr. Moreau, Susan watches Cosima do some science (regular type, not crazy, don’t be gross).

Smart is sexy.

After Cosima’s done potentially unlocking the door to her cure, she admits to not feeling so hot, so Susan gives her some light reading—the Neolution Origin Story—and tells her to rest.

Art and Sarah follow a lead to a woman’s shelter to try to find the escaped Bright Born women, but there are cops everywhere. A detective inside tells Art that it looks like a suicide, but Trina (the formerly pregnant Neolutionist who knew Beth) is there, and she thinks something shady’s going on.

Outside, Sarah gets a call from Helena, who has been living off the land like the precious feral creature she is.

Shouldn’t her red undereye situation have cleared up by now?

Helena asks about Kira, Sarah asks about the twins; it’s all sestraly and adorable. Sarah is glad Helena isn’t tangled up in the mess she’s currently being drowned by, and Helena can hear trouble in her sestra’s voice, but promises to keep her bebes safe.

Sarah hangs up because she sees Trina coming out of the shelter. She puts on her Beth voice and gets out of Trina that the woman inside didn’t kill herself and that the other Bright Born escapee, Kendra, is probably in an abandoned Steinbeck house in Tisdale.

Inside, the shady detective calls Evie to let her know that one of the Bright Born girls got away, but that someone else is also looking for Kendra.

I’ll admit, the face of evil is a good face.

Adele is drinking and giving the Hendrixes legal advice when Felix comes in to warn them that they have a surveillance team outside. They almost accidentally let it slip that they know Duko is MIA and even though Adele is smart and therefore suspicious by how weird the three of them are being, Felix manages to shuffle her back to the Loft without too much trouble. Mostly because he promises her more booze than Formerly Alcoholic Alison has lying around.

So they have this one scene, and it’s pretty short, and it’s basically just Evie’s buddy checking on her own maggotbot and telling her everything is fine. And I’m not saying I WANT Evie to die, but if someone takes her down in the finale, I kind of hope it’s by exploding maggotbot. BECAUSE THE IRONY.
