“The 100” recap (3.14): Desperate Measures

Luna is about to ship off her unwelcome skaikru guests and is about to give back the flame when Alie shows up and has some guards turn on her.

Like a goddamned toothache, this one.

Jasper tells Shay to run and warn the others, and it gets her shot with an arrow.

Luna is captured and waterboarded, by her own peaceful people, and Jasper warns her not to take the chip she’s offered, which pisses Alie off, so they try to feed him a chip, too. Luna’s boyfriend takes the key to stop the torture, but then he turns on her too and holds her under water himself.

In Arkadia, Monty falls asleep, and Raven goes rogue.

She’s been invaded by Alie; it’s no surprise she’s one of the most motivated to stop her.

Alie senses Raven accessing her from the Arkadia computer and actually sounds a little nervous about it, especially since she knows Murphy is going after the backpack.

Monty wakes up and is so mad to find out Raven is inside the citadel. Alie suspects Monty is there at Arkadia, so she sends his mother to block the way. Her voice comes through the computer, and she stalls while Alie works to disengage from the computer. Monty quickly realizes what he has to do and deletes his mother’s consciousness, which surprises Alie.

Humans aren’t as predictable as she thought.

Raven quickly goes back to work, making her way all the way through the Citadel to a killswitch. She’s about to hit it when all the computers shut down. Alie disengaged, and Raven is so, so sorry that they sort of deleted Monty’s mom for nothing except to give him something to rage about.

In Polis, Murphy, Pike, and Indra sneak into Titus’s temple and almost destroy the backpack until Emori says just smashing the backpack would flatten the city. Alie has Emori beg for her life, saying destroying the backpack would be destroying her brain, but they’re running out of time. Indra is guarding the door, but it’s about to be broken through.

“I know I CAN kill them all one-handed, but can we hurry this up anyway?”

Murphy can’t do it, so Pike smashes it instead. Murphy goes to check on Emori, but she just laughs; they’re too late. So they cover Emori’s head and run through their secret tunnel.

Jaha is stressed, but Alie isn’t anymore. She uploaded herself from the backpack through the pod to the original Polaris. (Right? That was Polaris? Either way, it’s in space. Far, far away.)
