Morning Brew – Jodie Foster is getting a star on the Walk of Fame

on

Good morning!

You can still get tickets to tonight’s Women Stand Up for Hillary event in Los Angeles, and now, select tickets are only $15. See you there?

Jodie Foster talked with the New York Times, but won’t say much about her wife or family. A quote:

“I never will talk about marriage and friends. There are only so many steps I can take to protect people I love. There’s only so much I can do to keep them safe. It’s kind of a horrible feeling to know that if somebody’s close to you, you put them in danger of being hurt, of being sullied — trivialized — just by virtue of knowing you.”

And when it comes to her coming out(ish) speech at the Golden Globes:

“Everything I have to say on that subject, I said that night. I can be vague. Vague is moving to me.”

Nailing it! Jodie will be receiving a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood (finally), and Kristen Stewart will help induct her.

The Bay Area Reporter profiles Christine Lehnertz, the out superintendent of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and the work she’s done to keep people (and animals) enjoying nature.

I can confirm that finding decent stock images of Sapphic situations is really this difficult sometimes.

In case you’re a Black Ink Crew fan, it appears castmates Donna and Dutchess did not really hook up. Those off-camera “moans” you heard were Duchess “throwing up when I had the pregnancy scare.”

This is a perfect poem about dyke bars.

Danielle Moodie-Mills wrote a great piece on how Beyonce‘s “Lemonade” celebrates unapologetic black queer love

Lady Gaga and Elton John have a new collection of accessories and a few pieces of clothing called Love Bravery. It will go on sale next month at Macy’s and proceeds will benefit both Gaga’s Born This Way non-profit and Elton’s AIDS Foundation.

Sarah Paulson loves going to the theater.

Ireland Baldwin posted for Schon! Magazine this month.

The TV Junkies talk Officer Haught with Wynonna Earp showrunner Emily Andras. A quote:

“We will see her again. It’s going to be a few episodes, but she is very present in the back half of the season. It’s still the early episodes of the season and we have a lot of work to do in setting up the Earp sisters, Doc, Dolls and Bobo on the chessboard before we bring in the other players. She’s definitely coming back in a big, big way and her presence is felt in all sorts of ways over the next few episodes.”
