What did you think of “The Collapse of Nature”? What did you think of Beth? She’s so…broken. Already. You can see a spark of life in her; the fierceness Art fell for, the fire she shares with Sarah, a wit of her very own. But it’s dulled and muted under layers of pain, paranoia, the pressure of responsibility, and drugs. So many drugs. I had already felt like I missed Beth, and that was before I really knew her. It’s like thinking you’re in pain, then having the anesthesia wear off. But it’s an addictive kind of pain, and I hope we’re not done peeking into Beth’s life.
