“The 100” recap (3.10): Flying on broken wings

In the cave, Kane et al. start making plans, and they’re reminded to stay on the right side of the blockade. Miller’s boyfriend wonders aloud if the blockade means anything to the Grounders because he’s still a little brainwashed, but Octavia’s death stare shuts him up. Kane says that the terms were that if they kill Pike, they’ll be accepted as the 13th clan. Kane knows that Indra thinks Lexa’s gone but he’s sure these terms still apply. Someone asks about Clarke but Octavia says she made her choice. Because she doesn’t know. She doesn’t know. She says the only thing that matters now is killing Pike.

Her trikru tats, though.

Monty radios in and says that he’s on the run, and Kane tells him to meet him at the dropship. Kane wants to go alone, but everyone wants to join him. Octavia is the only one who doesn’t back down; the only one Kane can’t say no to. Bellamy knows why; he says Octavia thinks, nay, HOPES it’s a trap. Octavia’s eyes gleam a little and she says they should take her stupid brother to trade for Monty.

In Arkada, Jaha is holding an extra creepy City of Light meeting while Alie is periodically checking in on a totally unhinged Raven. She has a chalkboard of science and is desperately trying to get Abby to understand her plan to override Alie right out of her system using the biometric bracelets they put on the original hundred before sending them to the ground. Abby isn’t sure it would work, but Raven is, because Alie is staring at her, like she “just stole her favorite toy.”

“Clever girl.”

Alie, with as much worry as her artificial intelligence can muster, tells Jaha to find the bracelets and destroy them.

Raven tells Abby to take over the project but not tell her any more about it because Alie can see and hear everything she can see and hear. Alie decides Raven is too smart for her own good, so she gives Raven what she wants: her memories. But only the most painful ones, and turned up to 11.

It’s torture. Cruel and unusual punishment. For poor Raven who can’t catch a damn break. Abby holds her and feels that her heart rate is elevating too quickly, so she rushes her to medical. Raven screams and writhes, tormented by her worst memories on a loop, until finally she submits to Alie. She falls silent, then sits up, stiff and robotic. Raven is in the City of Light now. Alie has become corporeal.

Lindsey Morgan killed this scene.

Abby is really confused but doesn’t have time to investigate because her sidekick nurse guy whose name I never can remember injects her with something that knocks her out.

Kane, Octavia and Bellamy go to the dropship and Kane is like, “Hi, hello, excuse me, is anyone there?” When no one responds, Kane shrugs but then Octavia uses her warrior voice and demands whoever is there come out of the dropship, and sure enough, Pike comes out, holding Monty hostage. Octavia tells Kane to shoot him.

She’s little, but she’s big.

Kane can’t take the shot because Pike is using Monty as a shield, and Pike threatens Monty so Kane throws his gun down, much to Octavia’s disappointment. She takes things into her own hands and holds her sword up to Bellamy’s throat, but Bellamy twists her arm (literally) and overtakes her, letting Pike’s men grab her. He says the rest of them are in a cave nearby and Octavia screams at her brother, betrayed again, and launches herself at him, but she gets hit with the electric stick and falls to the ground. Bellamy leads Pike toward their hideout.
