Morning Brew – Carrie Brownstein marries a lesbian couple with Amy Poehler’s help

Good morning!

Last night, Carrie Brownstein was in conversation with Amy Poehler at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, CA as part of her book tour when an adorable couple asked if she, an ordained minister, might marry them. Congrats to Kendall Oshiro and Genevieve Hernandez, whose spontaneous and magical moment was caught on camera by someone in the crowd.

Pussy Galore was the only lesbian character to ever be part of a James Bond novel, and it turns out that author Ian Fleming believed she “only needed the right man to come along … to cure her psycho-pathological malady.” Yeah, that’s not how it works IRL so that is definitely pure fiction.
