On Friday, one of television’s most beloved same sex couples is tying the knot on Glee. Let me rephrase that: One of television’s most beloved couples. Period. Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera Dorsey) and Brittany S. Pierce (Heather Morris) will be saying “I do” and the excitement within the fandom community is palpable. After years of fan support and unwavering dedication, Brittana will finally get their happy ending. Time to pop the champagne!
Entertainment Tonight has an exclusive preview of the big day, with special appearances by Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang) and Vanessa Lengies (Sugar Motta, bitches!). For those who don’t know, Lengies is one of the biggest Brittana shippers out there, and even jokes about the fan theory that Sugar is Brittana’s child from the future. Get it, gurl.
The video includes a few brief snippets of the actual episode too, including a look at Gina Gershon as Blaine’s mom, and of course, a pre-wedding scene between Britt and Santana.
Here’s the clip in its entirety.
So, how does one prepare for the wedding of the year?
Tissues, lots of tissues: You are going to need some serious Kleenex realness to deal with this joyous event.
Fondue, for two: What better way to celebrate alongside Brittana that with a delicious pot of fondue. Don’t have a fondue pot? No problem, you can make fondu in a slow cooker as well! Here’s a recipe.
Champagne, prosecco or something sparkling: AfterEllen will tweet out a special toast to Brittana during the EST airing and we need you to raise your glass and join us. Want to spice up your cocktail? Here are some recipes to add a little zing to your cocktail. Sparking grape or apple works for a non-alchoholic treat too.
Dancing shoes: It’s time to celebrate, and join the Brittana and the former Troubletones as they dance at the reception. Cut a rug on your actual living room rug. Brittany would be so proud.
“A Wedding” airs Friday, February 20th on FOX.
