Morning Brew – Naya Rivera will return to “The View,” joins cast of “Devious Maids”

Good morning!

Check out these beautiful love stories you told us, posted on Cosmopolitan!

Jamie Babbit’s new film, Fresno, is premiering at SXSW. It’s described as “a comedy that follows lonely but stoic lesbian Martha (Natasha Lyonne), whose sister Shannon (Judy Greer), a sex addict with no impulse control and a long history of poor decisions, winds up back in Fresno cleaning hotel rooms with her.” SOLD. Also at the fest: Life in Color, starring Fortune Feimster, Knock Knock it’s Tig Notaro, and Out to Win, ” a documentary film that serves as an overview and examination of lives and careers of aspiring and professional gay and lesbian athletes who have fought and struggled to represent the LGBT community and their true selves.”

The Fab Femme is reporting on a “former femme” who is appearing on a dating show to find love with a man. Nes Mari responded on her Instagram, which indicates she’s “only dated women in her life but has always pictured her life with a man.” Here’s the whole bio from WETV’s website:

Nes is looking for a man – but has only ever dated women! She partially attributes her attraction to women and distrust of men to the absence of a positive male figure growing up. She hopes the bachelor will be open-minded about her past, but it might be a problem if there are a lot of beautiful, tempting women in the house.

In case you want to see how this plays out, Match Made in Heaven premiers tonight on WETV.

Naya Rivera has joined the cast of Devious Maids as “Blanca, a new maid in the neighborhood who has landed a job with the seemingly picture-perfect Beverly Hills family. But she soon discovers a terrible secret—something that could change her life forever.” A lesbian secret? BTW, she’s also returning to The View. Maybe she’ll talk a little more about that possible bisexual thang she mentioned not too long ago.

The Barbershop Diaries features the stories of 10 barbers in the South Bay area. One of them is a lesbian, K Shaun, “who juggles a domestic relationship and her mother’s stage four breast cancer.” The film is premiering on Feb. 8 at San Jose State University.
