Amber Benson held a Reddit Q&A this week where she answered a question asking the most rewarding thing about playing Tara on Buffy the Vampire Slayer:

“The most rewarding thing about playing Tara was that the relationship on Buffy between her and Willow helped kick open the door for more amazing LGBTQ characters on TV. We were so blessed to walk in their shoes and play those ladies. It’s one of the things I am most proud of in my life.”

Jodie Foster will receive the Laura Zizkin Lifetime Achievement Award from the 2015 Athena Film Festival. Jodie said in a statement:

“It is truly an honor to receive the Laura Ziskin Lifetime Achievement Award at the Athena Film Festival, which celebrates the power, creativity and leadership of women in the entertainment industry. These are values I share deeply with the festival and I am thrilled to be recognized amongst my colleagues and peers.”

The Athena Film Festival celebrates women in powerful roles in the movie industry, and will take place in NYC this February.
