Cameron Esposito talks about being an AfterEllen fan and her new comedy album, “Same Sex Symbol”

Cameron Esposito may seem like an overnight sensation, but the out comic has been gracing stages all over the U.S. for more than 10 years. In the past year alone, she’s made appearances on The Craig Ferguson Show, Conan, WTF With Marc Maron and Adventure Time, as well as a recent stint in Comedy Central’s @Midnight. But here on AfterEllen, we’ve been loving Cameron since the early days, calling her a Queer Woman to Watch Out for in 2008 and premiering her web series (before they were cool!) Cameron Esposito: Homo Genius in 2009.

We sat down with Cameron, still a homo and still a genius, to talk about her new comedy album, Same Sex Symbol on Kill Rock Stars, which is out today. She also shares why she’s always been out on stage and why she’s seen every single lesbian film that’s ever existed.

Same Sex Symbol is available now.
