Morning Brew – Kate McKinnon does an awkward interview

on

Good morning!

I had a rad time in Detroit over the weekend for V to Shining V. If you aren't following us on Instagram, here's a clip I posted from Holly Miranda performing "I'm Your Man" with Ambrosia Parsley.

While in the airport, I came across this slow news day piece. EQUALITY.

Chicago Fire EP Matt Olmstead talked about spoilering spoiler last week.

“There was no agenda either way. All the characters were assessed on equal footing, so there wasn’t any kind of, ‘Let’s not do this for this reason, not do that for that reason.’ As storytellers, you have to be unsentimental sometimes. Having done it before, when characters have been killed, absolutely, initially, there’s a very strong reaction, especially from the faction that was really into that character. My policy is really not to go right away and read the comments moments after. You’ve got to let it set a little bit and trust that strong storytelling is going to be strong storytelling.”

Meanwhile, in the UK, out Rabbi Elli Tikvah Sara tells The Independent why she's not a fan of Julie Burchill.

Anna Pulley has some great lesbian porn haikus at The Toast.

HuffPost Live hosted a talk about "Femmes vs. Butches" on Friday. Guests include Aja Aguirre (Fit for a Femme), Anita Dolce Vita (dapperQ), Mary Going (Saint Harridan) and Morgan Willis (Bklyn BoiHood). Can't we all just get along?
