Morning Brew – Demi Lovato speaks out for marriage equality

Good morning!

Did you know that lesbian moms and gay dads are pretty much the best parents ever? There’s a study and everything.

Ellen Page sold her condo and is moving into Venus Williams‘ home in the Hollywood Hills. I’m pretty sure Venus is moving out beforehand.

Sia granted an interview with NPR and it’s insane and awesome, as predicted.

StarPulse has 36 Celebs that are Out and Proud.

Demi Lovato is working with the HRC to promote equal marriage.

74-year-old U.S. Navy veteran Madelynn Taylor filed a civil rights lawsuit this week after the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery “refused to allow her to be buried with the ashes of her late wife.” She’s got the backing of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, too. Don’t fuck with us!

Marlene King spoke with The Wrap about reaching 100 episodes of Pretty Little Liars.

Meanwhile the cast and crew share their favorite moments.

Kristin Bauer van Straten talked to The Hollywood Reporter about losing Tara.

I tried to kill her for a year. I was a pretty brutal mother, pretty tough love. Then we were lovers for a second, and then I abandoned her — I’m not the most nurturing mother. But it’s a connection that hurts when it severed, and Pam does feel it, and she does care about Tara. It was just that the way in which she was forced to make Tara, only to get Eric back — she didn’t choose to be a mother. She never did completely give Tara her due as a mother. Tara’s had bad luck in the mother department all around.

Like we were really worried about their mother/daughter relationship.

Abby Wambach is the all-time goal scorer of the women’s world cup. Yeah girl!

Brittney Griner had a kick ass dunk this week against the LA Sparks.

People magazine has a report on Portia and Ellen‘s relationship, although they too just quote “a source.”

If you’re in L.A. this weekend, come to the Roosevelt for the Self-Evident Truths Project party and have your portrait taken.
