Morning Brew – Wives Aisha and Danielle Moodie-Mills launch MSNBC web series

Good morning!

Portia de Rossi was very “mum” like to Vampire Academy star Lucy Fry while they worked on their new film, Just Add Honey. Lucy, a 21-year-old up and coming Aussie actress, said Portia gave her great advice:

“She was very helpful on things to be aware and careful of. She’s so down-to-earth and honest. She told me a lot of really interesting stories about her journey as a young actress when she was my age and moving to Los Angeles. I tease her a lot and always call her mum because she hates it and doesn’t ever want to be a mum. We have a really fun relationship.”

You can end up as Portia and her other half on this BuzzFeed “Which Celebrity Couple are You?” quiz.

I can’t wait to watch Robin Roberts interview Ellen DeGeneres before the Oscars.

Lily Tomlin said she loves Amy Schumer, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig. Me too, Lily! BFFs? Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen love Kate McKinnon, too. In their Reddit Q&A yesterday, they said they have known her a long time and would love to have her on Portlandia. Michelle Rodriguez must not be the jealous type. Her girlfriend shared her Woman Crush Wednesday on Twitter, and it wasn’t her!

Do you want to know any spoilers for upcoming Grey’s Anatomy episodes? TVLine has some scoop on Arizona’s terrible day, airing March 13.

Evan Rachel Wood stars in a new dramedy called Barefoot, now on DVD. Apparently she used the movie Tangled to inspire her mental patient character, and does a really great panic attack.

Wives Aisha and Danielle Moodie-Mills are hosting a new show on MSNBC’s TheGrio. Politini will have the women, married in 2010, discussing “the intersections between politics and pop culture, and other spin that makes the world go round.” The first episode will go live today and continue with new episodes every Wednesday and Friday. So rad.

Angel Haze talked with MTV Act about her new song “Battle Cry” and identifying as pansexual. On that latter bit:

“It took a long time for me to come to terms with the fact that I was open to anything. Ultimately the testament to whether or not I love someone is if they can teach me more about life, and make me very appreciative of the fact that I know them. I also like really innocent eyes and a really pretty smile.”

Two of our faves, Trish Summerville and Mandi Line, posed together at the 16th Costume Designers Guild Awards in L.A. this week. Trish, who has a super rad name, was given the Outstanding Fantasy Film Award for her work on Catching Fire.
