The series returns for four episodes to wrap up its fourth season. The episodes also mark the final episodes helmed by departed show creator and showrunner Janet Tamaro.

On a more solemn note, the finale appearances for the late Lee Thompson Young, who committed suicide last August. The cast and crew were to begin filming the season finale the week her took his life. According to Dealine.com, his death will not be addressed in the final episodes of Season 4. When last we left Det. Jane Rizzoli & Dr. Maura Isles, the dynamic duo were sharing a good laugh discussing the prospect of Jane marrying a man. Lt. Col. Beard Force had laid down an ultimatum, get married or he is shipping back to Afghanistan. And you thought cliffhangers involving marriage proposals only happened in Jane Austen novels.

So far this past season Maura went to jail, Jane became a viral video and everyone laughed and laughed at the possibility of Jane and Maura marrying anyone other than each other. Little official information has been released about the season’s four remaining episodes. The titles and synopsis give us a few clues.

Tears of a Clown (4.13) A kidnapper dressed as a clown re-emerges after 20 years; Jane’s relationship with Casey grows more serious; Maura inadvertently gets in the middle of another relationship.

Just Push Play (4.14) A musician is stabbed in a bar; the squad realizes that the stabbing victim had something to hide; Jane’s father returns with shocking news.
