Morning Brew – Francesca Gregorini talks Portia split

Good morning!

If you care to know how Francesca Gregorini’s relationship with Portia de Rossi ended (in short, not that great), The Advocate asked for those details.

“It was pretty harrowing,” she now admits. “I’ve never really talked about it, and I want to be respectful to all the players – and, to be honest, I’ve definitely made my peace. Portia and I are friends, I’m friends with Ellen.”

Speaking of Portia, Ellen DeGeneres recently surprised her with the truck of her dreams. Oh so lesbian.

A friend of Lou Reed’s writes about going to a lesbian bar with his musician pal for Vanity Fair.

If you missed Danielle Brooks getting down with Jemima Kirke on Girls, the entire episode is online. Sadly, this is the last we see of “fat, gay Laura.” It was good while it lasted.

In case you’re wondering what Sarah Paulson was up to at the Golden Globes HBO after-party, she was dancing and drinking with Lena Headey and kissing her 12 Years a Slave co-star Lupita Nyong’o.

Jessica Clark, Amber Heard, Anna Paquin and all kinds of other ladies up for Maxim‘s Hottest Woman of 2014.

You can vote for Brittney Griner in Cartoon Network’s Gnarliest Newcomer category for the Hall of Game Awards, too.

The Sounds have a new video for “Hurt the Ones I Love.”

Return to Nuke Em High has some gay teen girls, as it parodies shows like Glee. Catherine Corcoran and Asta Paredes are central characters of the gory Lloyd Kaufman film.

Brandi Carlile performed the National Anthem before the Seattle Seahawks/New Orleans Saints games over the weekend and now you can bid on the jersey she wore. (It’s autographed too!)

Kimberly Peirce spoke to Salon about working with big studios on her Carrie remake, which is out on DVD this week. The good news is it seems her Butch Academy movie could be her next project! Salon says Kim “is currently working on a sex comedy ‘with a gender twist’ to be produced by Judd Apatow.”
