Afternoon Delight: “Orphan Black” star Tatiana Maslany heads to “Parks and Recreation”

Good afternoon everyone!

Happy birthday to Hayden Panettiere, Carrie-Anne Moss, Kim Cattrall, Alicia Witt, Loretta Devine, Erin Kelly and my cousin Jessica!

In what I can only describe as a TV show version of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany will guest star on Parks and Recreation in the upcoming season! She’ll play a love interest for Tom (Aziz Ansari). Yippee! In the episode of Oxygen’s I’m Having Their Baby airing tonight, we’ll meet lesbian couple Amy and Shannon, who are faced with the possibility of adopting the child of Shannon’s half-sister.

ABC ranked the hottest hookups from its risqué show Mistresses and Joss and Alex’s post-run shower scene made the list (with their mini kiss garnering an honorable mention nod).

Last night’s installment of Rizzoli & Isles was dedicated to late cast member Lee Thompson Young. At the end of the episode a memorial card was shown onscreen stating, “In Loving Memory of Lee Thompson Young, 1984 – 2013.”

Happy Endings Eliza Coupe is returning to the small screen. Coupe will have a recurring role on the CBS comedy The Millers playing the ex-wife of Will Arnett‘s character. Coupe’s first appearance on the show will air on October 24. E! has a few mini spoilers for the upcoming seasons of Glee, New Girl and Orphan Black.

Iron Chef Cat Cora has her own shoe line called the Cat Cora Farmer’s Market Collection! Check out her array of Mozo shoes at Zappos.com.

Parks and Recreation‘s Rashida Jones is developing an hour-long dramedy for the CW called Ladyballs. The show will “revolve around two twenty-something estranged friends in search of love in New York who are reunited after learning that they’ve been dating the same guy.” Don’t you just hate when that happens?

Out actress Cherry Jones will team up with American Horror Story star Zachary Quinto for Broadway’s Glass Menagerie. The Tennessee Williams play opens at The Booth Theatre (222 W. 45th Street) on Thursday, September 26.

Carrie Brownstein will be reprising her role as Lance during Portlandia‘s Season 4.

Marion Cotillard has signed on to play Lady Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender. Cotillard was called in after Natalie Portman dropped out of the project. If you’re going through Grey’s Anatomy withdrawal like I am, then enjoy these bloopers from Season 9.

Gay ally and actress Lake Bell poses sans clothing for New York magazine. I sure hope she doesn’t catch a cold. Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks has been cast in Dark Places alongside Charlize Theron and Chloe Moretz.

Tonight, Tina Fey will stop by the Late Show with David Letterman. p.s. I miss you Liz Lemon!

Aasha Davis (Pariah, South of Nowhere) stars in the comedic webseries the Unwritten Rules.

Last night, my four-month-old nephew August was photographed at his first WNBA game. He and both of his moms are Seattle Storm fans.
