Sandra Bullock is not eager to shoot a sequel for her cop comedy The Heat. Bullock said, “I know they say never say never, but right now, I can’t imagine it. I don’t want to ruin what Melissa and I had. If a miracle happens where [a script] shows up that really and truly outdid the first and provided an experience that was better than the first one, then I would look at it. But I’m not there.”

Rumor has it Carey Mulligan in talks to star in the suffragist film The Fury.

Jessica Alba has signed on for the action comedy Stretch. The movie “follows a limo driver (Patrick Wilson) on his last shift who picks up a billionaire (Chris Pine) whose freaky special requests get darker as the night rolls on.” If Alba plays a hooker I’m going to punch someone.

Take a gander at Helena Bonham Carter’s impression of Elizabeth Taylor in BBC’s Burton and Taylor. Personally, I’m not seeing the resemblance.

Michelle Forbes (True Blood, The Killing) is joining the cast of to Chicago FireTheWrap reports, “In a multi-episode arc on the show’s upcoming second season, Forbes will play Gail McLeod, a high-ranking consultant with the State Fire Marshal’s office.”  P.S. Remember when Forbes played Tricia Helfer’s lesbian lover on Battlestar Galactica? Good times.

Lifetime has given the thumbs up to a Flowers in the Attic remake starring Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn.

Natalie “Nina Sayers” Portman is gearing up for her directorial debut. Portman will tackle Love and Darkness, based on an autobiographical novel by Amos Oz. Portman penned the screenplay and will star in the film, which is scheduled to shoot in Israel in early 2014.
