It’s always a win when a show includes an intelligent, funny queer woman, right? Well, hold on to your big gay socks, because the new season of Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out on MTV2 has two, count ‘em, two smart, hilarious lesbians in the cast.
Chaunte Wayans is an experienced stand-up, actress, and producer.
(This clip is definitely NSFW.)
Lauren Flans is an experienced improviser and sketch comedian who won the YouTube Picture Battle rap tournament.
Both of the new out cast members seem to be made for Wild’n Out’s fast, hard-hitting style of comedy.
“I was a HUGE fan of Wild ‘N Out when it first aired,” Flans told us. “At the time, I was just learning how to rap comedically, and it was the most fun I’d ever had. And here was this show that was a mixture of comedy and rap. So getting on Wild ‘N Out literally became one of my career goals. I’m lucky, ‘cause I think very few people get to live out career goals that are THAT specific.”
Wayans also told us she had a great time during filming: “Nick Cannon and the whole cast was an amazing team and I’m grateful for this opportunity.”
If you want to see more of them in action, the full casting special is online, or for a sneak peek — in which you get to see Lauren plant one on the only straight girl in the cast — check out the new season trailer.
Wild’n Out premieres on MTV2 on Tuesday, July 9 (tonight!) at 11:00/10:00 Central.
