Watch now! Rachel Maddow’s DOMA and Prop. 8 coverage will make you cry all over again

If you were out celebrating the The Supreme Court’s DOMA and Prop. 8 decisions last night (or if you were just exhausted from all the cheering and crying you did all day), you might have missed Rachel Maddow‘s coverage of the big day. Well, you don’t want to do that. In typical Maddow fashion, she broke apart the most complicated conundrums of the SCOTUS decision, dug through a full day’s worth of stories and came out with the most heartwarming ones, and infused even more optimism into an already monumentally hopeful moment in history. Check out the individual clips below.

Up first, Maddow explains how the DOMA ruling changed things for thousands of gay couples in an instant – including one gay man whose deportation hearing was interrupted and halted when an intern ran a mile and a half with a physical printout of the SCOTUS decision in his hands to deliver it to the immigration office.

Next, Maddow talks to the two couples who challenged Prop. 8, and they explain how they’re taking their fight to the 37 states who still don’t have marriage equality.

And finally, Maddow talks to Edie Windsor‘s lawyer.

Man, what a day.
